Beirut- 05/08/2010: The LPDC workshop, “The Palestinian Refugee Right to Work: Law v/s Reality”, was held at the Grand Serail with a broad participation of academics and legal experts. The workshop, organized by the Lebanese Palestinian Dialogue Committee (LPDC), is aimed at clarifying basic concepts and assessing the proposed law amendments; it   comes within the framework of the LPDC work plan to improve the Lebanese Palestinian relation, as mentioned in the Ministerial Declaration, and to support the ongoing discussion and legal drive tackling the Palestinian Refugees’ rights in Lebanon.  In addition to the LPDC committee and team, the workshop was attended by representatives of the ministries of Justice and labor, the National Fund for Social Security, the embassy of the Palestinian State, the ILO, UN agencies and the Palestinian Workers General Union, as well as a panel of lawyers, researchers and activists. ...
