Mikati during a meeting with Azzam Al Ahmad: LPDC Chairman assigned to follow up on the handover of wanted persons in Ain Al Hilweh in coordination with security services

Today at the Grand Serail, Prime Minister Najib Mikati met with a member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, Azzam Al Ahmad. They discussed the conditions in the Ain Al Hilweh camp, in the presence of LPDC Chairman Dr. Bassel Al Hassan; Army Commander, General Joseph Aoun; Acting Director General of General Security Brigadier Elias Al Baysari; Director of the Lebanese Army’s Intelligence branch Brigadier General Tony Kahwaji; the Palestinian Ambassador to Lebanon Ashraf Dabbbour; and the Secretary-General of the Fatah movement Fathi Abu Al-Ardat.  

They agreed upon the following:

1- Establishing a final and permanent ceasefire.

2- Strengthening the joint security forces to maintain security and activating the joint Palestinian Action Committee.

3- Maintaining permanent communication and coordination with the official and security agencies and institutions and assigning LPDC Chairman Dr. Bassel Al Hassan, to follow up on the issue of the handover of wanted persons in Ain Al Hilweh in coordination with the security services.
