LPDC has submitted the preliminary paper for the National Plan on Camp Governance to the Prime Minister

Prime Minister Nawaf Salam received a delegation from the Lebanese–Palestinian Dialogue Committee, headed by Ambassador Ramez Dimeshkieh, in the presence of Executive Director Nadine Marouk, Head of the Legal Affairs and Coordination Unit Daniela Saoud, legal and political advisor Dr. Ali Mourad, media and communication officer Julie Majdalani, General Suhail Khourieh and researcher Hisham Debsi .

Ambassador Dimeshkieh presented Prime Minister Salam the preliminary paper of the national plan for the governance of Palestinian camps in Lebanon. The delegation also outlined its main pillars and detailed components, including the proposed framework for public consultation.

Salam commended the role of the Lebanese–Palestinian Dialogue Committee, praising the efforts in following up on the various issues related to the Palestinian file and in coordinating with relevant stakeholders, in a manner that serves a balanced approach based on sovereignty and rights within the framework of the state and the rule of law.

He stressed the importance of adopting a broad participatory process to discuss this plan, ensuring the involvement of various political actors, official administrations, and security agencies, alongside Lebanese and Palestinian civil society organizations, UNRWA, and international bodies concerned with Palestinian affairs, as a prelude to completing the necessary consultations and moving toward its approval and adoption by the Lebanese state.
