Meeting between the Chairman and a delegation from the Joint Palestinian work Committee

The Chairman of the Lebanese-Palestinian Dialogue Committee, Ambassador  Ramez Dimechkie, met on with a delegation from the Joint Palestinian work Committee in Lebanon, led by Secretary Haj Fathi Abu al-Ardat. The meeting marked his first official engagement since assuming his duties by decision of Prime Minister Nawaf salam.

The discussion focused on ways to strengthen cooperation and coordination between the two sides and to establish clear foundations for addressing the issues of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon. Ambassador Dimechkie affirmed his commitment to the new government’s vision regarding Palestinian affairs and to completing the formation of the working team to begin the tasks assigned to the committee. He stressed the importance of building on the achievements of previous stages and enhancing bilateral relations with the Palestinian side.

For its part, the Joint Palestinian work Committee emphasized the importance of unified coordination in facing current challenges. Both parties agreed to hold regular meetings to follow up on current and future issues, stressing the importance of credibility and responsibility in managing dialogue in a manner that serves the shared Lebanese and Palestinian interests.
