The Committee’s Political and Legal Advisor, Dr. Ali Murad: The preliminary paper for the National Plan on Camp Governance is an advanced step aimed at establishing procedural frameworks for how the camps are managed at all levels

Regarding the Dialogue Committee’s submission of the preliminary paper for the National Plan on the Governance of Palestinian Camps in Lebanon to Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, the Committee’s political and legal advisor, Dr. Ali Murad, stated in an interview with Sada Al-Shatat that this paper represents an advanced step following the “Unified Lebanese Vision” announced in 2017. It aims to establish procedural frameworks for how the camps are to be managed at all administrative, security, and service levels.

Murad also affirmed that government directives called for launching a broad, participatory discussion process involving various Lebanese stakeholders, administrations, and Palestinian political forces, in addition to local community institutions, experts, and donor entities, to ensure the production of a comprehensive national vision that enjoys consensus among the concerned parties.
